Hello Rick, Nakisma! Yes, enjoying VP of Integral Mission position at American Leprosy Missions. Mocoron? Pues, eso queda muchos años atrás pero con muy buenos recuerdos... Best to you and all of yours!
Ha, I thought you may have been! Interesting piece - I forwarded it around the office for discussion, will let you know any outcome. Things are going well here thanks, busy as usual chasing our tails but making progress. I think :-)
Hi Rick, thanks for checking in. I'm certainly planning on trying to participate more this year. I enjoyed the most recent newsletter and have been leading a Christian organisation through quite a big change over the past two years. So will look at the papers and add my thoughts to the discussion.
I am currently working for PMU InterLife as an international coordinator for our support to partners in Eastern Africa. In my work as coordinator, and earlier faciliator in Southeast Asia, I am heavily involved in OD related issues and method development. I'll try to follow the discussions on this fora as much as possible. One thing that I might be interested in at the moment, if someone is up for launching a thread, is some fresh thoughts on conducting base-lines.
Thanks for your warm welcome, Rick. I am looking forward to joining you at the Africa Encounter in Nairobi. I have had a passion for OD in christian and multicultural context for many years. Jørn and I have been talking about the topic several times. I have also read one of your books and different articles, as I have recieved e-track from Intrack since 2000. Was introduced to it by Odd Evjen who has worked in Norwegian Church Aid. But this will be my first meeting with many people with the same interest. I am sure I will learn a lot.
Thank you for your message. I have already written a report on the workshop and shared it with my colleagues. I found it very good and encouraging. It helps me to even more work based on my faith in God and on biblical principles - those good principles that influence the entire life and bring wonderful peace to mankind. Thank you for your work!
Got the reference to this group and the seminar in Nairobi in November from Kristine - DMCDD.
I work in a capacity building programme for Local Partners in Somaliland, Kenya and Tanzania where strong partnerships are the foundation.
Besides that I'm part of starting IAS' programme in Tanzania for special needs education/rights and strengthening civil-society organisations to advocate for the marginalized groups in their communities.
I know both TCDC and EASUN though I have not worked with them or attended any of their trainings.
Before shifting from Nairobi to Arusha I attended a strategic planning training at CORAT.
I can see Jason just signed up before me... small world.
Hi Rick and thanks for your welcome. Unfortunately I will be in Laos in November and won't be able to make it to Nairobi. My wife and 6 month old son will be moving to northern Laos in January 2011 but we will also be there for a short 6 week "intro" during October and November. I meet Lena a few weeks ago at workshop for Erikshjalpen (ERIKS) here in Sweden and she encouraged us to join this learning group. So I am looking forward to being a part of it. Sincerely, Jason
